![]() ![]() I never noticed any problems with pixel transitions on my VG279Q. Hiditec case Micro ATX / ITX Slim SLM20 USB3.0 s / fte HTPC Black. ![]() The slow transitions of dark pixels was immediately obvious to me when scrolling the screen in a dark area of an isometric RPG (pillars of eternity 2). GET THE LOOK:DELL other 27 Monitor Asus VG279Q 27 LED IPS FullHD 144Hz FreeSync. Then if i move my head a few inches down and to the right, It looks correct. Looking at the clock in the bottom right of windows, I can immediately tell it's grey instead of white. After 8 or 9 years using IPS monitors I've never seen a screen so BLACK! But gamma and color shift looking at the edges of the screen (taskbar, tabs in browser) is rather obvious. Uniformity of blacks/greys is not perfect. Blacks don't get very dark and that's compounded by IPS glow at the edges of the screen (not to be confused with backlight bleed, though that is almost always a minor quibble with IPS monitors, too). The only negatives I can speak of for the VG279Q are seemingly unavoidable for IPS. ![]() I have the VG279Q as well and I'm currently trying out a VA monitor for the first time (LG 32GK750F). ![]()
